Dr. Decibel

Dr. Decibel is Australia's only clown audiologist who conducts comic hearing tests on audience participants using bizarre and magical apparatus such as a 'Deaf Detector'.

Created and performed by Asphyxia - one of Melbourne's leading acrobats - Dr. Decibel bridges the gap between a range of audience groups: deaf, daft, hearing, adolescent and adult. Dr. Decibel's first day as an audiologist gives way to crazy hula hooping, magic and sign language … all performed in time to Madonna sound tracks.

During this performance the audience learns some basic sign language and helps Dr. Decibel apply herself as an audiologist.
